Ariela Arabians had a great finale to a wonderful year as our homebred mare
Loubna won her class in the most prestigious show for Arabian horses the World Championships at the Salon du Cheval in Paris. Loubna is the first Israeli-bred horse to ever achieve such an honor and we are very proud of her. In the Championships, Loubna equalled the Reserve Champion mare in placements, with both receiving a first and second place from the judges. The tie for reserve was then determined by total points awarded in the qualifying class, so Loubna only narrowly missed the title of Reserve, which was given to the beautiful Palmira. In addition, the beautiful HS Ramira, by Simeon Sadik, was named 2003 Reserve World Champion Filly, and her dam Rihahna
(Baahir
x Nil Nour) was also bred by us. This was a wonderful way to conclude an extremely successful show year for Ariela Arabians!

July 2003 The Egyptian Event Europe was a huge success for the country of Israel, which achieved 2nd in the Nation's Cup Ranking of the show. Even more amazing is that this honor was earned with only three horses - two from Ariela Arabians and one owned by Eli Arad. A son and daughter of Imperial Imdal, both bred by Ariela Arabians, took top honors, with the stallion
Mosalli , currently on lease to Bettina von Kameke, winning Egyptian Event Europe Champion Stallion, Supreme Champion Stallion, and Breeder's Cup Champion Stallion. Mosalli was also the highest scoring horse of the show.
Loubna was named Egyptian Event Europe Reserve Champion Mare behind the unforgettable Elf Layla Walayla, a former Reserve World Champion.
The filly Pyramid Laneya, sired by the Ariela-bred stallion Al Lahab (Laheeb x The Vision), was chosen as the Reserve Champion Filly of the show and also won the Most Classic Head class. She is owned by Ujw Arabians of Germany. (Photo copyrights - Karen Kasper) |

We are pleased and proud to announce that Loubna (Imperial Imdal x Imperial Kalatifa) was recently named Champion Mare at the German Elite Cup. This was an especially thrilling victory for us because of the quality of the competition, which included such world-class mares as the beautiful Bint Shaklina HMP and Gelgelah al Badeia, who was named Reserve Champion. A big thank you to Frank Sponle, Sabina Widmayer and their devoted team for their superb care and handling of Loubna. Loubna is co-owned with Portdown Arabians, UK. |

Jun 2003 Arabian horses have proven once again that they do indeed bring people closer together and build lasting, positive ties. On Saturday, June 14th, Arab and Jewish Arabian horse enthusiasts rode for an afternoon near the line dividing Israel and the Palestinian Authority for the fourth time in as many years. The ride was conceived to help strengthen the spirit of co-existence and brotherhood between Israeli citizens of different ethnic groups and organized by Yusuf Asli, Arieh Baer, the Qara Village Regional Council, and the Education Ministry's Sports Department. A festive banquet, complete with speeches and folklore performances was a fitting finale to this most successful and unforgettable event. (Photo copyrights - Ibrahim Abu Ata) |
