October 2022
She had it all; Quality, Class and Style... And she did it in her own way!
Loubna 1997-2022
A short time ago we received some sad news from Germany: Loubna (Imperial Imdal x Imperial Kalatifa) had passed away at age 25. Yes, I know it's been a long time since she took her first breath in my hands, but that doesn't make it any easier.
She was a one of a kind mare, a horse that from her very first day had that special aura that meant she was destined to become exceptional, and so she was.
Her show career started at a very young age as she was named 1997 Israeli National Champion Filly the same year she was born (Back then we still didn't have foals classes at the Israeli Nationals). Later on in 1999 she was named again Israeli National Champion Filly and in 2001 Israeli National Champion Mare and High- Scoring Horse of the show.
In 2003 we decided to fly her to Germany to be shown by Frank Sponle. As far as I recall, Frank was the only handler to show her throughout her entire lifetime. I don't believe she was ever shown by anyone else.
In Europe she took the show ring by storm. I will not start writing all her show wins as that would make this too long a post, but will say that in 2004 Loubna gave me some of the most emotional moments of my life as I stood up to hear the Israeli national anthem played first at the All Nations Cup in Germany and later at the World Championships in Paris.
At the end of 2005 we had to take a very difficult decision, and eventually we sold Loubna to the Ajman Stud. It is never easy to let such a beautiful mare go, but knowing she would have the best possible life in Ajman, made this decision easier.
Under the flag of Ajman Stud Loubna again achieved greatness and brought a lot of pride to her new owners. Just to name a few of her show wins: in 2006 she was European Champion Mare & Reserve Champion mare; in 2007 she was named Middle East Champion Mare and High- Scoring Horse of the show; and in 2008 she was named Champion Mare and High- Scoring Horse at the Dubai International Show. Finally, in 2011 she was named Gold Champion Mare and High-Scoring Horse at the Abu Dhabi International Horse Show (94.50 points) and then again Gold Champion Mare at the Dubai International Championships.
I believe that until today she is the most successful Straight Egyptian show mare of all times. That being said, for me she will always be Loubna, the special mare who became the springboard for the achievement of my own dreams, and I will forever be grateful to her for that.
I wish to send my condolences to Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi of Ajman Stud and to thank him, Elisa Grassi and Frank Sponle for the wonderful life they gave this once in a lifetime mare.

She is Bright, Burning Red! and her name is Edan AA...
At her first show ever, at the All Nations Cup, held last weekend in Aachen - Germany, our young red girl, Edan AA was first in her age group and later on named Bronze Champion Yearling Filly behind two of Dubai Stud's beautiful fillies!!!! Due to an injury, Raphael Curti had to step back from showing horses in Aachen, so she was presented by Arnauld Mertens who did a super job with her.
Edan AA is a dream come true for us. She was bred by Michalow Stud of Poland and sired by our home-bred Al Ayal AA, out of one of Michalow Stud’s most treasured mares, Ekliptyka, a daughter of the multi-champion stallion Ekstern (Monogramm x Ernestyna) out of Ekspozycja (Eukaliptus x Esperanca). Ekliptyka is the dam of World Champion Equator and the beautiful El Bellisima.
A special Congratulations to Michalow Stud, Edan's proud breeders.
We wish to thank Raphael Curti, Arnauld Mertens and the whole wonderful staff of Privilege Arabians.

At the 2022 Galile Show, held last week in Israel, a record number of horses participated. This was the biggest show ever held in Israel. Many of the horses which took part in this show were imported to Israel from various bloodlines. However, the Gold Champion Mare, who also had the highest score of the whole show, was a Straight Egyptian mare who was bred in Israel.
Her name is Lujina and she is a daughter of Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG) out of the SE mare Mashalla Aleha. Mashalla Aleha is by Al Manar (Al Maraam x Luiba by Imperial Imdal) out of Aytab (Bariq Al Amal x Shabcha by Shadad Ibn Nizam). All lines of this beautiful mare's pedigree trace back to our breeding program.
Lujina scored 93.13 points, including 8 times 20 for Type, Head and Neck and Movement and was named the Gold Champion Mare of the show. Congratulations to Lujina's breeder and owners! Well done.

It is time to say Goodbye to a truly special horse!
All good things have to come to an end, so a few days ago we had to say goodbye and farewell to AJ Kafu (Shanghai EA x AJ Kahayla), proudly bred and owned by H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.
We are extremely happy with Kafu's foals in Israel and look forward to seeing his next foal crop; some of our best mares are in foal to this young stallion for 2023. We wish to thank H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi for trusting us with his beloved stallion and we hope to collaborate together again in the near future.
We would like to also express our heartfelt thanks to Elisa Grassi and Frank Sponle, for their help in making this endeavor possible.

Jun 2022
At only one year and one month old, and competing in the showring for the very first time, our colt Paladin AA simply rocked at the golden beach of Menton. This son of Al Ayal AA, bred by Janow Podlaski Stud of Poland, simply loves to show and entered the ring like a desert storm. He danced around the ring with his tail up, snorting in the direction of the judges, and trotted just as his ancestors did in the sands of the Arabian desert for generations.
Paladin ended up winning first place in his class with 93.08 Points, including six 20's and also won the title Best Head of the class.
In the championship finals the young guy was tired, which was apparent in his stand up, yet he still moved extremely well. He ended with the title of 2022 Menton Arab Horse Show Bronze Champion Yearling Colt. Paladin was born and bred at the great Janow Podlaski Stud of Poland, home of generation after generation of well bred horses. His dam Prometida, is a daughter of three times World Champion Kahil Al Shaqab and out of Panonia (Eukaliptus x Pilar). Pilar (Fawor x Pipi) traces to the same dam line as the Polish queen Pianissima, through the well-known mare Pilarka.
We wish to thank Janow Stud for choosing to cover some of their best mares with Al Ayal AA. The credit for breeding this exciting colt belongs totally to you!
We also want to thank the wonderful team of Privilege Stud for taking care of Paladin and preparing him for the showring in a very short time, but in the best possible way. And a special thank you to Raphael Curti who handled Paladin in such a great, natural way! Well done!

May 2022
We would like to introduce a very special yearling colt. His name is Paladin AA.

Paladin is proudly bred by the National Stud of Poland - Janow Podlaski and now owned by Ariela Arabians.
This eye-catching yearling colt is a son of Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG), out of the Janow bred mare Prometida, a daughter of three times World Champion Kahil Al Shaqab and out of Panonia (Eukaliptus x Pilar).
Paladin AA brings together The Vision HG and the exquisite Polish mare Pilarka (Palas x Pierzga) through her accomplished granddaughter Pilar (Fawar x Pipi). The combination of these two powerful dam lines will make for a wonderful genetically-charged breeding horse.
The future of Paladin looks very bright.
Paladin will be handled by Raphael Curti of Privilege Arabians.

April 2022
We are happy to welcome a new addition to our breeding program, the Janow Podlaski bred Alpina AA. This nine year old mare is one of the first foals of our homebred Abyad AA, a son of Nader Al Jamal out of Al Amal AA (Halim Shah I x The Vision HG) who was leased to Janow Stud at the age of nine months by stud director, Mr. Marek Trela. Abyad stood at Janow for a few breeding seasons, and produced extremely well for Janow Stud. Perhaps his best known daughters are the mare Prunella (out of Pradera), who was named Gold Champion Filly at the Polish Nationals in 2016 and the mare Pila (out of Piba) who was named Gold Champion Mare at the 2021 Sopot Arabian Horse Show in Poland.
Alpina herself is a daughter of the well known Alabama (Gazal Al Shaqab x Altona by Eukaliptus), tracing to the dam line of the great Polish mare Algeria (Celebes x Algonkina). We look forward to see how Apina will fit into our breeding program and create her own family here.

April 2022
At his first European show appearance, our homebred colt Fajar AA (Shanghai EA x Fadwa AA) did very well. Last weekend he was shown at the Country Life International Show in Belgium and was First in his Yearling class. The next day at the Championship, he was named Bronze Champion Yearling Colt.
He was handled beautifully by Tom Oben and Mussa Nijm!

April 2022
We would like to inform our clients and friends that due to the high demand for AJ Kafu breedings, we asked Ajman Stud to extend his lease.
They kindly agreed to give us one more month, so this multi-champion stallion will stay in Israel until the end of June 2022.
Please note that those who purchase breedings during Kafu's stay in Israel will have the right to use his frozen semen. However, no new breeding will be sold after his departure from Israel.

We are happy to welcome our first AJ Kafu's foal; a beautiful grey filly, with a stunning attitude. Just what we were hoping for! This filly, still not named, is out of one of our best Laheeb daughters, Basmah AA (Laheeb x Al Baraqai AA). She traces to The Vision HG through her oldest daughter Al Baraqai AA (by Baahir). This filly has it all: beautiful head with big black eyes, great body and an amazing attitude with great tail carriage.

"...and I circle ten thousand years long; And I still don't know if I'm a falcon, a storm, or an unfinished song" (Rainer Maria Rilke)

The sky earned a very special star tonight...
We were devastated to learn that one of the best horses we ever bred at Ariela Arabians, Shaheen AA, is gone.
He was simply too good to stay for long in this world. Time after time he managed to get over all the struggles life put in front of him. Tonight his short life's journey came to an end, much too soon. Shaheen, you will always be our unfinished song...
