At the 2020 UAE National Championship last week, the progeny of the multi champion AJ Kafu (Shanghai EA x AJ Kahayla), did extremely well: his son AJ Sabran (out of AJA Caprice) had achieved the highest score in all colts qualifications classes and was named the Unanimous Gold Champion Colt. Sabran's half brother, AJ Ajban (AJ Kafu x AJ Saphira), was named Silver Champion Colt. Also, at this championship, was the Al Ayal AA grandson KA Nishan (Shanghai EA x AJ Nazwa by Al Ayal AA).
The AJ Kafu Yearling filly AJ Nour (out of AJ Norah) was named Bronze Champion Filly at the Yearling Fillies Championship. This is great success to this young sire who had only a small number of foals on so far.
We are looking forward to see AJ Kafu foals from a selective group of our best mares and feel he can be a great addition to our breeding program.

The Vision's legacy continues to unfold...
We are very pleased to inform that Antonia Bautista and Philip Looyens, of Shiodome Arabians from Spain, choose one of our junior stallions for their breeding program in Spain. Al Wahab AA, a beautiful dapple-grey Straight Egyptian stallion is the last version of one of the breed's most successful crosses ever: the "golden cross" between Laheeb and the black mare The Vision HG. The Vision HG is considered by many breeders to be one of the most influential Straight Egyptian mares in the history of the breed. From Egypt, to Poland, to the USA, to Europe and to the Middle East, her progeny can be found in some of the best breeding programs around the globe.
Al Wahab is a full brother to Al Lahab, Al Hadiyah AA, Al Raheeb AA & Al Halah AA. He is also the maternal half brother to Al Ayal AA, Al Maraam and My Vision AA. This young horse has a huge footsteps to fill!
We are grateful to Antonia and Philip for choosing one of the Ariela stallions and look forward to seeing his impact on their stellar breeding program.
Also, a huge thank you to Raphael Curti who made this collaboration come true.

"It is easy to break down and destroy.
The real heroes are those who make peace and build..."
Nelson Mandela

We are pleased to inform that Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, agreed to let his multi champion stallion AJ Kafu, to stand in our stud for the next two breeding seasons.
This young stallion is one of the world's most exciting junior stallions. Being Gold Champion Colt at the Dubai Intentional show, Unanimous Gold Champion Colt at the Menton Arabian Show, Gold Champion at the All Nations Cup in Aachen and Silver Champion at the World Championships. His real value will come through his heritage; Standing behind him are yet more Paris winners - his pedigree is impressive one. The sire of AJ Kafu is none other than the exquisite and white, World Silver Champion Senior Stallion, Shanghai EA. And his dam AJ Kahayla is the daughter of legendary World Champions QR Marc and Kwestura - Kwestura actually has been the World Champion Senior Mare twice - that is something very rare. Kwestura is easily one of the top five most winning and beautiful mares to ever leave Poland. AJ Kafu is the product of combining several legends together to make a pedigree quite like no other. Shanghai EA, his sire another legend, WH Justice, and QR Marc, and his World Champion sire Marwan Al Shaqab and lastly Marwan's sire, World Champion Stallion Gazal Al Shaqab make up the two sire lines that AJ Kafu carries in his pedigree. These two lines combined have produced, in the last few years, some of our finest champions worldwide. But it is the tail female line of Kwestura and the gorgeous Polish mares before her that is so very unique. Mares such as her dam Polish National Junior Champion Filly Kwesta coupled with her dam Kabala by Palas, who was one of the very rare mares to ever defeat the stunning World Champion Mare Pilarka.
AJ Kafu comes from greatness as you can see and is greatness himself with his abundance of beauty and charisma - but it is the fact that his breeding has armed him to be a producer of greatness that means the most!
We wish to thank Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman for letting our dream come true and to Elisa Grassi & Frank Sponle for putting this wonderful opportunity together for Ariela and Ajman. Join us all as we look forward with pure excitement and gratitude.

We would like to welcome home our home-bred mare Nefertiti AA.
This young mare is one of the last Laheeb's (Imperial Imdal x AK Latifa) offspring. Her dam is one of our all time most beloved mares, the multi-champion Nashwah AA.
Nashwah is a daughter of Al Ayad (Moheeb x Al Mamunah) out of Insha Sha Latifa (Ansata Selman x Naffada by Imperial Imdal), dam line to the great Deenaa (Sameh x Dahma II by Nazeer). Indeed a truly royal bloodline!
Nefertiti will be bred to Moaiz Al Baydaa (Ezz Ezzain x Madga Sakr by Tallahsman). Needless to say that we have great expectations from this cross. During the last year, Nefertiti AA was standing in Belgium with Raphael Curti at Privilege Arabians. Thank you so much Raphael; she looks wonderful!

At the 2020 Elran Arabian Cup in Belgium, two of our home-bred horses (out of two of our home-bred mares) were shown: Despina AA (Jyar Meia Lua x Damdiyah AA) was named Bronze Champion Yearling filly, beautifully shown by Rapheal Curti.
For Despina's half brother, Tuareg AA, it was his first show ever. This exotic young colt is by Jyar meia Lua as well (thank you Ferdi for letting us use this magnificent stallion), out of Turkiz AA by Al Ayal AA. Tuareg AA entered the ring a bit confused but after only a few meters from the entrance, he had his tail up, and appeared confident and proud. He was 1st in his class and later on named Gold Champion Yearling Colt.
Tuareg AA is leased by Nayla Hayek of Hanaya Stud and was beautifully handled by Frank Sponle! Alf Mabrouk to Nayla, Elisa and Frank! So happy for you all!

While overlooking all borders and barriers and putting the Arabian horse first, we wish to say thank you to Sheikh Hamad and to Al Shaqab for purchasing one of our beautiful Laheeb daughters for their fantastic program. Here's to over 20 years of sharing a great friendship. Eelahab AA is by Laheeb out of II'am (K.Z. Zahr Al Hadid x Bint Amar) to Al Maraam, represents the blend of two of our truly outstanding stallions, Laheeb (Imperial Imdal x AK Latifa by Ibn Moniet El Nefous) and Al Maraam (Imperial Imdal x The Vision HG). We also want to thank both Michael Byatt and Uri Shaked for all of their efforts in putting everyone together to make this sale happen. Again, we salute a global freedom and say thank you again to all involved.

"Run often. Run long. But never outrun your joy of running." Julie Isphording, American Olympic runner

Menton this year was a bit of a different feeling; none of us could fly over due to the Covid 19 so we had to stay home and see our filly from very far away. It's never a joy to see your horse from far away...
In Menton this year we showed one of our home-bred yearling fillies; Despina AA, the first born of Damdiyah AA (Ajman Moniscione x Dafina AA by Al Bilal) out of the beautiful young stallion Jyar Meia Lua. Jyer was bred in Brazil by the late master breeder Lenita Perroy and is now proudly owned by La Movida Stud in Austria. This stallion is unique in so many exceptional ways and will take a huge role in the future of our own breeding program. Damdiyah AA is daughter of Dafina AA by Al Bilal (Al Maraam x Bahiha) out of the Michalow bred mare Dumka (by Laheeb). All these mares, Damdiyah AA, Dafina AA & Dumka) have had multiple championships and we feel that Despina AA is going to be one more such success in this lineup of great mares.
Despina was beautifully shown in the golden sand of Menton by Raphael Curti of Privilege Arabians. Her performance was excellent and she ended up second in her class with a very good score, only 0.2 behind the class winner; great results for her first European show! She showed very well in the championship as well, handled beautifully by Glenn Schaukens, but unfortunately ended up without a title. Still it was great seeing her entering the ring with her tail up high and giving her best. Yes, she is a show horse...
We wish to thank Raphael and his wonderful team for giving the best possible care to Despina and look forward to seeing her in future shows. This is only her start. Her fairytale has only just begun.

According to the ancient Arab tradition and legends of the Bedouin, the Dahman strain descends from the famous horses of King Solomon. From the Hebrew tradition we learn that Solomon kept the finest of his beloved horses at the strategic crossroads of Tel Megiddo (Tell al-Mutesellim), situated less than two kilometers from our farm. The uncovered remains of the King's stables are well preserved and can be visited today at the ancient site of Megiddo.
Whether these traditions are true or merely legends, we believe that one contemporary Dahman Shahwan SE stallion is very worthy of living in the stables of the King -- his name is Moaiz Al Baydaa and we are happy to welcome this great sire from the timeless sands of the land of Egypt to our farm. His breeder and owner, Ahmad El Talawy, is the owner of the famous Al Baydaa Stud, and also the proud owner of Moaiz's dam, the cherished Madga Sakr (Tallahsman x Farida Sakr by Shaheen). Magda is a royal beauty in a class entirely her own, tracing back through Ansata Rosetta, dam of the legendary sire Ansata Halim Shah, to the immortal foundation mare Bukra.
A look at the paternal side of Moaiz's pedigree reveals the great strength of his sire line, a line built firmly on the characteristics of elegance and nobility. Moaiz's sire is the recently deceased Ezz Ezzain, a beautiful stallion whose blood we tried for years to add to our breeding program. Ezz Ezzain is a son of Ansata Almurtajiz by Ansata Hejazi, arguably the leading son of Ansata Halim Shah, the most influential international Egyptian sire of the past few decades.
Moaiz Al Baydaa is no stranger to the show ring; some years ago he was named Gold Champion Stallion at the prestigious Breeders Cup in Cairo and in 2018 his beautiful daughter Mystica Al Bawady (out of Mona Al Bawady), proudly bred and owned by Al Bawady Stud from Egypt, was named Junior Champion Filly at the Egyptian Nationals. According to Al Baydaa Stud owner Mr. Ahmad El Talawy, many of the best foals born at his stud over the past few years were sired by Moaiz Al Baydaa.
We look forward to seeing how this exceptional snow white stallion will cross with our mares and to witnessing his future impact on our breeding program. We wish to warmly thank Mr. El Talawy for entrusting his beloved stallion into our care as well as Raphael Curti for all his help in making our dream come true.

And then we got pink...
A beautiful filly has arrived. She is by the 2018 Israeli Egyptian Event Unanimous Gold Champion stallion Kenz Al Baydaa (Jamil Al Rayyan x Kareemah Saqr), out of the mare Malikah AA (Laheeb x Atiq Adara) who was sold at the beginning of last year to Hanaya Stud. Kenz Al Baydaa was leased to our farm by his proud owner, Nayla Hayek of Hanaya Stud in Switzerland. He left a wonderful group of foals here before going back to Europe and some more foals are expected this year.
This filly is just what we was looking for from this cross. She has beautiful big eyes and an extremely dishy face and will be a great replacement for her mom in our breeding program. Here is an iPhone picture that was taken when she was one day old. More pictures will come soon.

Happy 24th birthday to the one and only Laheeb!!!!! It has been a true honor to have him with us all these years! A kind and loving horse and an amazing sire who has had a huge influence on our breeding program and some other important breeding program around the world. As he is a part of our family, we hope that this noble stallion will be with us for many more years to come.
Happy Birthday!
