According to the ancient Arab tradition and legends of the Bedouin, the Dahman strain descends from the famous horses of King Solomon. From the Hebrew tradition we learn that Solomon kept the finest of his beloved horses at the strategic crossroads of Tel Megiddo (Tell al-Mutesellim), situated less than two kilometers from our farm. The uncovered remains of the King's stables are well preserved and can be visited today at the ancient site of Megiddo.
Whether these traditions are true or merely legends, we believe that one contemporary Dahman Shahwan SE stallion is very worthy of living in the stables of the King -- his name is Moaiz Al Baydaa and we are happy to welcome this great sire from the timeless sands of the land of Egypt to our farm. His breeder and owner, Ahmad El Talawy, is the owner of the famous Al Baydaa Stud, and also the proud owner of Moaiz's dam, the cherished Madga Sakr (Tallahsman x Farida Sakr by Shaheen). Magda is a royal beauty in a class entirely her own, tracing back through Ansata Rosetta, dam of the legendary sire Ansata Halim Shah, to the immortal foundation mare Bukra.
A look at the paternal side of Moaiz's pedigree reveals the great strength of his sire line, a line built firmly on the characteristics of elegance and nobility. Moaiz's sire is the recently deceased Ezz Ezzain, a beautiful stallion whose blood we tried for years to add to our breeding program. Ezz Ezzain is a son of Ansata Almurtajiz by Ansata Hejazi, arguably the leading son of Ansata Halim Shah, the most influential international Egyptian sire of the past few decades.
Moaiz Al Baydaa is no stranger to the show ring; some years ago he was named Gold Champion Stallion at the prestigious Breeders Cup in Cairo and in 2018 his beautiful daughter Mystica Al Bawady (out of Mona Al Bawady), proudly bred and owned by Al Bawady Stud from Egypt, was named Junior Champion Filly at the Egyptian Nationals. According to Al Baydaa Stud owner Mr. Ahmad El Talawy, many of the best foals born at his stud over the past few years were sired by Moaiz Al Baydaa.
We look forward to seeing how this exceptional snow white stallion will cross with our mares and to witnessing his future impact on our breeding program. We wish to warmly thank Mr. El Talawy for entrusting his beloved stallion into our care as well as Raphael Curti for all his help in making our dream come true.

Alf Mabrouk to the Israeli breeder Salman Basha. Salman has chosen to be our partner in the Straight Egyptian filly Saraya AA (Al Ayal AA x Saniyyah RCA by Mishaal HP). This beautiful filly comes from a royal family and is one of our breeding program's best crosses; she is full sibling to the multi champions Sofiya AA, Shaheen AA & Soraya AA, and half sister, thru her dam, to Shams Sharav AA (Simeon Sharav), Safiyyah AA (Laheeb) and Salsabil AA (Laheeb).
We like to wish Salman all the best with this newest addition to his breeding program and look forward to see this filly's development into a great mare.

Sometimes you go to a horse show with the very highest of hopes; but when something goes wrong, then everything seems to go wrong...
We went to the World Championships in Paris with our filly My Vision AA, who was Yearling Champion Filly at Menton this year; and with our straight Egyptian mare Labibah AA, who was Reserve Champion at the International AHO World Cup in Chantilly. My Vision competed under the Egyptian flag for Al Baydaa Stud, and Labibah under the flag of Qatar for the Al Thumama Stud; both of them are products of the Ariela breeding program.
It wasn't a good week for My Vision; this time, in contrast to the show in Menton, she did not show well at all. Yes, as horse breeders of so many years experience we already know that horses have their good and their bad days. This time it was a bad day! But no one can deny her quality and forget the fact that she won a prestigious Top Ten in the World Championships.
Labibah is a naturally-born show horse. She has never disappointed us in the ring; always garnering at least 92 points. We noticed just before her first appearance in the ring in Paris that both front feet were hurting her, and so Labibah did not take place in the judging whatsoever. She was examined by two veterinarians at the show, and shipped within two hours to a clinic just outside Paris to receive continued care. As of this time she is doing better and we hope that she will recover completely over the next coming weeks.

So, this certainly wasn't our week and not the best week for our two horses. But, as horse breeders we know to take the long view and in spite of the fact that this week was so difficult, we will not let it break us. We hope to see everyone again in Paris next year and for now we wish to sincerely thank the following people: Mr. Ahmed Talawy of Al Baydaa Stud and Dana Al-Meslemani of Al Thumama Stud, Tom Oben, Raphael Curti, and to the wonderful teams of Privilege Arabians and Obi Training Center for all the hard work and dedication. Thank you!

Vision's last gift...
Exactly one year ago, during the first night of the 2018 Menton Arabian horse show, a bay filly was born. She was the last foal of the glorious Straight Egyptian black mare, The Vision HG, who passed away a short time after her last daughter came into the world. We named the little one My Vision AA...
Last weekend during one of the most glamorous Arabian horse shows held in the sunny French Riviera, the Menton Mediterranean and Arab Countries Arabian Ho...rse Championship, My Vision accepted the challenge with her handler Raphael Curti, under the Al Baydaa flag. Being one of the youngest horses at the show, she entered the ring with the same grace and elegance of her unforgettable dam. And she did it! She won her class and the championship and was named Gold Champion Yearling Filly of the show!
She made us proud...
We wish to thank Mr. Ahmed Talawy of Al Baydaa Stud for his trust, Raphael Curti for all the hard work and long time collaboration and the whole wonderful team of Privilege Stud who always give superior care and endless love to our horses.
And also a huge thank you to our dear friend Ferdinand Huemer, for letting us use his excellent and beloved stallion Jyar meia Lua in our breeding program; without him none of the above would have been possible!

The 21st Galilee Arab Horse show was held in Tel Adashim last weekend. 195 horses took part in this show. Some of our horses, and some horses related to our breeding program, were shown with great success;
Our homebred Daania AA (GT Shardh x Dafina AA by Al Bilal) was shown for the first time. She was placed 1st in her class with 92.33 points and named Unanimous Gold Champion Filly. Our Marwan Al Shaqab son, Lamaan AA (out of Lutfina AA) was 1st in his class and Bariq Al Mas AA (Jyar Meia Lua x Al Baraqai AA by Baahir) was named Bronze Champion Yearling Colt. Our ten year old mare, Badriyah AA, a Straight Egyptian mare by Nader Al Jamal out of Baraaqa AA (Laheeb x Al Baraqai AA) was shown for the first time since she was shown almost ten years ago as a foal. She was 3rd in her class with great score of 91.83 points. Later in the championship she was placed as bronze in all three judges cards, but unfortunately it was not enough to be earn a medal. We wish to thank Mussa Nijm and Uri Shaked for showing our horses in the best possible way as always.
At the Colt Foals championship, the first son of our junior stallion Shams Al Dine AA (Shams Sharav AA x Raliah by Laheeb), Exodus, hardly two months old, was 1st in his class and named Silver Champion Colt foal. Shams Al Dine AA is on lease to Elkasun Arabian of South Africa. Great start for the career of this young stallion. Alf Mabrouk to the Halak family.
Yaldiz Al Aziza, a young filly by Jyar Meia Lua was 1st in her 2019 Filly Foal class and named Bronze Champion Filly Foal. Abiyah A.K., a daugther of our homebred Takiyah AA (True Colors x Tanjara) was named Silver Champion Filly. Hilal Mabrok AA, a son of GT Shardh out of Hamidah AA (Simeon Sharav x Al Halah AA) was named Silver Champion Colt. Bronze Champion stallion was the Laheeb son Wadee Al Rehan. Gold Champion Mare and highest scoring horse of the show (93.33 Points) was the extreme white mare S.A. El Sahara, by Nader Al Jamal out of Al Duqa AA (Al Maraam x Dumka).
Congratulations to all breeders and owners of these beautiful horses.
Interesting to see that both Junior Champion Filly and Senior Champion mare trace to the mare Dumka (Laheeb x Dabrowa by Probat). Dumka was chosen by us in 2001 as a young filly at Michalow Stud, as part of our agreement regarding the Laheeb lease to Michalow and Janow Stud. She was imported to our country later that year and created a family that has bred on in our program. In 2005 Dumka was named Israeli National Champion mare. She is proudly owned now by Manny Vierra of Valley Oak Arabians in the USA.

One year ago, on the eight of June 2018, The Vision last foal was born. A beautiful fine bay filly with the same spark in her eyes, grace and refinement, just like her mother had. We named her My Vision AA.
Two months later, on the 14th of August we had to say our final goodbyes to her mother at age 24 and let her go home to greener pastures. Now, the little bay filly is on her way to make her first appearance on the golden sandy coast of Menton. She will be shown by Raphael Curti for Albaydaa Stud from Egypt. We want to wish best of luck to Albaydaa Stud and Raphael, and thank them for taking our Vision on this journey.

At the Arabian Horse Weekend International show in Sint-Oedenrode - The Netherlands, the Al Maraam daughter Elgazonda (out of Elgara) was named the Silver Champion Mare. Elgazonda was bred in Poland by the Michalow Stud and proudly now owned by Jadem Arabians in Belgium.
It is interesting to see that at this show, that four horses, who trace to The Vision HG, were awarded with championship titles, three of them through Al Maraam and one through Al Ayal AA: Daniya AT, a daughter of Donya Jamal (Nader Al Jamal x Aroussa by Al Maraam) was named Silver Champion Yealing filly. Zain S.M., a son of Nader Al Jamal out of Al Mara by Al Maraam was named Silver Champion Stallion and the Silver Champion mare Elgazonda, a daughter of Al Maraam.
