Alf Mabrouk to Nader Mhamed on his recent acquisition of the exotic young colt Deenar AA. This young colt is a full brother to 2016 Israeli Silver Champion Filly Damdiyah AA (Ajman Moniscione x Dafina AA), a filly which we will keep for our future breeding program. This colt's dam, Dafina AA (Al Bilal x Dumka by Laheeb), is a multi champion herself and one of our best producers. She is the dam of Durar AA & Daliyah AA. Both of these were sold overseas. Deenar AA is a great colt and we anticipate a great future for this beautiful young guy.

Last weekend, the 2016 Israeli National Championship Arabian Show was held at Kibbutz Alonim. Over 180 horses took part in this show which was Israeli 35th Nationals! We shown some of our horses at this show and they did very well. Mostly, we are proud that most of the horses we shown was Straight Egyptians and most of them are home bred horses!
A record number of 28 weanling fillies took part in this show. We are so proud that our two weanling fillies, both SE and both by our home-bred junior stallion Shams Sharav AA (Simeon Sarav x Saniyyah RCA), did extremely well. Ajayeb AA (Shams Sharav AA x El Katreen Nada) was 1st place in her class and named Gold Champion Filly and her half sister Nadiyah AA (Shams Sharav AA x Insha Sha Latifa) was named 3rd in her class and named Top Five Weanling filly.
The SE filly, Sajida AA (Al Ayal AA x Saniyyah RCA) was 1st in her class and named Silver Champion Yearling Filly. Fadwah AA (Fadi Al Shaqab x Donya Jamal) was Bronze Champion Yearling Filly. Damdiyah AA (Ajman Moniscione x Dafina AA) was 1st in her class too and Named Silver Champion Filly.
The beautiful GT Shardh (WH Justice x x TF Shahraaz), who is proudly owned by La Movida Arabians in Austria and on lease to our farm, was 1st in his class and named Gold Champion Colt.
The young SE mare Labibah AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA) was 1st in her class and named Silver Champion Mare.

And now come the most amazing joy we could only dream about: our senior mare Saniyyah RCA (Mishaal HP x My Shooting Star) entered the ring... As some may know, the last two years of Saniyyah's life were not easy. It was not our intention to show this mare, she had very big belly from all the surgeries she had to go thru and no muscle tone. The Idea was to make her condition better to tighten her belly up so we startedworking her a bit.
Then, she start looking really good, we thought, 'Why not?'
She was 1st in her class, with the 2nd highest score of the whole show and named Silver Champion Mare!!! It was such a wonderful moment to see her enter the ring!
And above all, Saniyyah is the grandmother of Nadyiah AA, Ajayeb AA (Gold Champion Weanling filly) and Sajida AA (Silver Champion Yearling filly). What a great mare!

All our horses was shown beautifly by Tom Oben, Uri Shaked and Philippe Hosay who helped in the championship. We wish to thank them all! and we wish to thank all our wonderful team who worked so many hours to get the horses look so good! Thanks you guys!

Last weekend the 2016 Berlin Cup International B-Show was held for Straight Egyptian Arabian horses. Some Israeli-bred horses participated in this show.
Nardin AH (Al Ayal AA x Nijmat Al Sachra by Al Safir AA to Al Maraam) was named Gold Champion Filly. In 2015 Nardin AH was named Israeli Egyptian Event Gold Champion Yearling filly. She was bred by AH Arabians and is on lease to Al Khashab Stud of Kuwait. Nardin's sister, Amal Bat Sachra AR (Al Ayal AA x Sachra Bint Maraam by Al Maraam) was named Silver Champion Filly. Both fillies had very high marks.
It is interesting to know that these two fillies both trace back in their dam line to the German-bred SE mare *Al Sachra Bint Amal (Morhaf x Amal AlBadeia by Ameer AlBadeia), imported into Israel several decades ago. This dam line is best known in our country as a great source of top race horses! The Berlin Cup results prove that beauty and racing ability can go together!

Two weeks ago, at the International B Show in Milan, our Junior Stallion, Al Ghazali AA (Gazal Al Shaqab x *The Vision HG) made his first presentation as a show horse. He won his class and was ultimately named Gold Champion Stallion at the show. And Al Ghazali is not even four years old!
Not many know, but this young stallion had to overcome serious health issues from the time he was only a few months old. It took a lot of hard work, dedication and hope to bring him to this un...forgettable moment.
We wish to thank Giacomo Capacci and his wonderful team for all the hard work and care they gave and continue to give to Ghazali, and a special thanks to Giacomo for believing in this young horse thru all the ups and downs and for presenting him so well.
Al Ghazali AA is the eighth champion offspring produced by *The Vision HG. What a record for this amazing mare! We are so blessed!

In the next few posts, we will present pictures of the 2016 foals of our exciting junior stallion, Shams Sharav AA (*Simeon Sharav x *Saniyyah RCA by Mishaal HP).
Sometime, you just have this feeling inside of you from the start, and this was the case with this young stallion from the moment he was born. We believed he had the qualities to produce from day one based on his extreme and correct looks and from the royal bloodlines he carries. His sire, *Simeon Sharav, is bred by one of the world's most highly regarded breeders, Marion Richmond of the Simeon Stud in Australia. He was sired by the famous Asfour (Malik x Hanan) out of the great producer Simeon Shuala (Simeon Shai x Ramses Tinah). The dam of Shams Sharav is the multi-champion mare *Saniyyah RCA who was proudly bred by Arabians LTD. Saniyyah is a direct daughter of the most successful straight Egyptian Ansata Sinan son, Mishaal HP (out of Mesoudah M) and out of My Shooting Star by The Desperado. Saniyyah's dam line traces back to the Sabah branch of the El Dahma, the same dam line of our senior stallion Laheeb.
So pleased to see these foals!

Sunday was a very sad day for the horse industry in Israel. On Sunday, Yochanon Merhav, one of the pioneers of Arabian horse breeding in Israel, and the founder of the "Golan Arabians" breeding program at Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan, met with what was surely an untimely death.
Yochanon was born in Poland and from there he brought his great love for Arabian horses to Israel. Most of you did not know Yochanon, but he was very much ahead of his time; he had this huge dream of breeding and raising Arabian horses here in Israel in the most professional manner possible, with absolutely no short cuts. Back in those days, his dream was truly visionary, and by single-mindedly bringing his dream to fruition, Yochanon opened the way for the Arabian horse breeding that is taking place in Israel today.
Yochanon's "Golan Arabians" was the leading horse farm in Israel for many years and served as a beacon to inspire others. His earliest foundation stock was based on Arabian horses that were imported here from overseas by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture. Later on imported stock and their descendants originating from sympathetic breeders in Europe in America were added to these.
Finally, in 1982, with backing from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan, Yochanon selected and imported the very first straight Egyptian Arabians to come to Israel, all of which originated in the U.S. This importation included the celebrated stallion Al Nahr Montego (*Ibn Moniet El Nefous x Bint Fada), one of the leading straight Egyptian Arabians in America at that time, with a brilliant record as a show horse and sire. By these actions Yochanon laid the cornerstone for the breeding of straight Egyptian Arabians in Israel.
Some years later, the closing of the farm at Sha'ar HaGolan as a result of economic considerations left a giant wound in Yochanon's heart, one that would never truly heal. In his pain, Yochanon chose to disconnect himself completely from the Arabian horse community.
All of us involved in the Arabian horse industry owe a tremendous debt to Yochanon, the man who dreamed what we do today.
May he be of blessed memory!

We are pleased and grateful to share amazing results for our horses at the International Egyptian Breeders Classic in Scottsdale!
Sofiya AA (Al Ayal AA x *Saniyyah RCA), handled beautifully by David Boggs, was named unanimous Gold Champion Filly and at the same show her proud sire, Al Ayal AA (*Al Ayad x *The Vision HG) was named Gold Champion Stallion!!! Our homebred Baha AA (*Al Ayad x Baraaqa AA by Laheeb) was named Silver Champion Stallion. Baha AA is proudly owned by NJ ...Arabian Horse Ventures LLC and is managed by Jeff Sloan.
Al Ayal AA & Baha AA are two of the most exciting straight Egyptian stallions being promoted today, and watching them going head to head at this show drew a lot of attention and was especially exciting for us. It ultimately proved to be Al Ayal's day and was he turned on! Handled exquisitely by Giacomo Cappci, his performance was alluring and unforgettable and he was clearly the crowd favorite! Al Ayal unanimously won his class and the championship. Thank you, Giacomo!
We wish to congratulate Aria International who is leasing Sofiya AA and to thank David Boggs and the whole Midwest team who did such a wonderful job with both Sofiya and with Baha AA. We hope this was only the start of Aria International's success with Sofiya AA.
Congratulations to Aljassimya Farm, owned by owned by H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Khalifa Al Thani, for Al Ayal's success and a big thank you to all the people who worked so hard to make this dream come true! We are proud to announce that our dear friend, Mr. Ferdinand Huemer owner of the successful La Movida breeding program, has agreed to let his beloved young stallion, GT Shardh, stand at our farm for the 2016 breeding season. GT Shardh is a result of the cross between the world famous sire of champions WH Justice, and the ultra-beautiful Straight Egyptian Mare TF Shahraaz (Botswana x Shaamis Amira). TF Shahraaz was the 2010 US Egyptian Event Junior Champion Filly & 2011 Egypt...ian Event Europe Champion Filly & Most Classic Head winner. We had the chance to see TF Shahraaz at the Egyptian Event in Lanaken in 2011 and we fell in love right away. Having her son stand here, is like a dream come true!!!! GT Shardh was shown in Europe as a yearling by Johanna Ullstrom and did extremely well. In 2014 he was named: Silver Champion yearling Colt at the Belgian Nationals, Gold Champion Colt at the Normandy Arabian Festival in France, and Bronze Champion Yearling Colt at the European Championship (behind the 2015 All Nations Cup & World Champion Colt Morion, and 2015 All Nations Cup Silver Champion & European Gold Champion Gallardo J). In 2015 GT Shardh was busy covering a great group of mare in La Movida Arabians and his first foals is due any day now. We wish to thank Gerlinde & Ferdinand Huemer for letting GT Shardh come over and allowing us to use this promising young stallion in our breeding program.

We are pleased to provide a link to a story about our farm that was recently published in Tutto Arabi. It was written by our longtime friend and lifetime Arabian breeder, Tzviah Idan, who, since our move, has also become a close neighbor. The story provides a fascinating introduction to some of the history surrounding ancient Megiddo as well as beautiful photos of our new facility. To link to this story, please click here.

Twenty years has gone by in the blink of an eye and it seems like only yesterday, on a cold and dark winter night in 1996, He was born. We named him Laheeb, "The flame" in Arabic... A name which suits him very well!
From the moment he was foaled one could see that something in this colt was exceptional. His obvious qualities were evident from day one and from that day forward, never disappearing even for a moment. And no, we are not talking about his qualities as a breeding animal (on this many words have been written and will still be written in the future); today we want to speak about Laheeb from another perspective entirely, aside from exterior beauty. Beyond his physical qualities Laheeb has always had an extraordinary, almost spiritual, presence, a unique character radiating peace love, and serenity.
Over many eventful years Laheeb has become a wonderful ambassador for us in countries far and near; spending time in Germany, Poland, Egypt and the U.S. In each of these locations Laheeb entered deeply into the hearts of all of those who cared for him and all (without exception) spoke unceasingly about the horse with the exceptional character who had an extraordinary connection with humankind.
The years unfolded and Laheeb simply became an inseparable part of our family. We remained at his side during very difficult and painful times, including those times when it already seemed as if all hope was lost and even we had lost our faith, but no, not Laheeb. He never surrendered, either to pain or to the poor prognoses of the experts, and demonstrated how an unquenchable spirit can conquer even when the body is battered and broken.
Laheeb has been with us through good times and bad times. He has always been our rock of stability in a life so full of ups and downs that it sometimes feels like a crazy carousel ride. And of course Laheeb has been a major part of all the successes we have enjoyed throughout the years. His contribution to our program is immeasurable! We recognize how very fortunate we have been to have lived alongside such an incredible horse. A once in a lifetime horse. To experience this is truly a gift from heaven, one that not many breeders enjoy. Mere words can never express our gratitude to have been so chosen.
Thank you, Laheeb, for all that you are and all that you have gifted us. We wish you long life and hope that you will bless our lives for many more happy and healthy years.
Happy 20th birthday Laheeb!!!
