News and highlights of Ariela Arabians, 2012

Last weekend, during the UAE National Arabian Horse Championship in Abu Dhabi, the Al Ayal yearling filly, AJ Nazwa (out of Nowarat Al Khalediah) was first in her class with 93 points. This filly was bred by Ajman Stud and owned by Khaled Ghanem Mubarak Al Ameiri. At the same show, the Al Ayal colt, Dam El Ezz (out of HS Dancing Queen), was named Silver Champion in the Junior Male Encouragement Championship. Dam El Ezz is owned by Mohammed Eissa Khalifa Bushehab Alsuwaidi.

We just received this picture of the up and coming star Al Ayal Moniscione, proudly bred and owned by the Buzzi family from Italy; long time breeders of wonderful horses. This colt is by our Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG) and out of Ajman Moniscione's full sister - Ariel Moniscione. We look forward to seeing this colt in the future in the show ring. We are pleased to share some pictures of the first Kamal filly born in Israel. This extra typey grey filly is out of the Straight Egyptian mare Atiq Harissa (Wazir El Kheil x *Harajana B). The extreme type and beauty of this filly, is exactly what we were hoping for when we leased Kamal. After seeing this filly, we strongly believe he will be great cross to our mares and will bring more type and more movement to our breeding program. This filly is proudly bred and owned by Shadi Bahri. Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to Ali Zubiedat on his purchase of the 2012 Israeli Egyptian Event Gold Champion Filly Foal, Hamidah AA. Hamidah is by Simeon Sharav and out of the very exotic mare Al Halah AA, the only full sister to World Champion Stallion, Al Lahab. Hamidah is is one of the best fillies we ever bred and we anticipate a great future for this beautiful filly.

Congratulations to our friend Guy Zavirin, long-time breeder of Arabian horses, for acquiring our mare Zlota Gwiazda (Al Maraam x Zlota Ksiega by Ganges). This beautiful dark bay mare was born in Poland at the world-famous Michalow Stud. Zlota, who is in foal to Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG) will be a great addition to Guy's breeding program.

This colt's dam, Baraaqa AA, is one of our best producers. She is the dam of National Champion Baha AA (by Al Ayad), Egyptian Event Silver Champion Colt, Badr AA (by Al Maraam) and Badriyah AA (by Nader Al Jamal). At the European Championship held last weekend in Moorsele - Belgium, the Janow Podlaski bred and owned Laheeb son - Poganin (Pohulanka), was first in his class and became Top Five stallion with a score of 93.4. The Al Maraam daughter, Parmana (Palmira), bred and owned by Michalow Stud, was 3rd in a very competitive class, with 93 Points. Congratulations!

We are pleased to present a beautiful picture of the Al Ayal filly, LEI My Star (out of Magic Sorya), the Gold Champion Filly Foal & Most Classic Head Champion (among all females) from the first Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse World Championship Show which was held last month in Roma. Last weekend, the 32nd Israeli National Championship Show was held at Kibbutz Alonim. 190 of Israeli finest horses took part in this three-day event. It was an especially exciting show because many newly-imported Arabians of the most dominant bloodlines found in the top showrings worldwide were competing with Israeli-breds in almost every class. When the dust settled in the semi-finals, most of the championship titles went to Israeli-bred Arabians, and the majority of these were of straight Egyptian bloodlines or Egyptian-sired.

Great success to horses related to our breeding program occurred at the 1st Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse World Championship which was held last week in Roma: The Al Ayal AA filly, LEI My Star (out of Magic Sorya) was name Gold Champion Filly foal. The next day this ultra exotic filly was named the winner of the Most Classic head Class from among all the females in this show!
Also at the same show the Nader Al Jamal son, PSE Atlanta (out of Imperial Barezza) was named Silver champion Colt and winner of the Most Classic Head Class among all the males. Set SL, a Nader Al Jamal son (out of Setala) won the title of Bronze champion Colt of the show behind PSE Atlanta.

The last foal of 2012 was foaled -- a beautiful grey filly by Nader Al Jamal out of Latifah AA (Al Maraam x Imperial Kalatifa by Imperial Al Kamar). This filly is a full sister to the multi champion filly Lutfina AA. We hope this newborn filly will follow in her older sister's footsteps and grow up to be just as successful.

Two weeks ago, the National Championship of Russia was held in Sokolniky Park in Moscow. Our Home bred stallion, Leran AA (Laheeb x Latifah AA by Al Maraam), became Russian Gold Champion Stallion, defeating some of Russia's best-known stallions. This promising young stallion is stallion is proudly owned by Professor Minaev Valery. Congratulations !!!

At the 2012 Breeders’ Championship Europe Show, held in Warsaw - Poland, the Al Maraam (Imperial Imdal x The Vision HG) son, Echo Adonis (out of Echo Kallisto) became Gold Champion Stallion. Echo Adonis is owned by Mr. Krzysztof Poszepczynski. Another Al Maraam son, Elmaran (out of Ekstera) was named Top Five at this show. Congratulations!

At the 2012 Middle East Championship (ECAHO Title show) held in Amman, Jordan the Straight Egyptian Laheeb daughter Loubana (Bint Karima) was awarded the title of Silver Medal Champion Mare, behind the multi champion Almasa. Loubana gave a great performance and received extremely high scores from the Judges (93.62). Congratulations to Loubana's breeder and owner, Mr. Salach Taha and the whole Kafar Kassem group.

At The 2012 Egyptian Event Europe, held at the beautiful showground in Lanaken - Belgium, our home bred filly Lutfina AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA by Al Maraam) repeated her success of last year and became the Bronze Champion Filly! Lutfina performed beautifully and got a great score. At the Amateur mares halter class, Elisa Grassi beautifully showed the Laheeb daughter Badawieh AA and got the judges vote for 94.52 points. Later on Badawieh AA was named overall Amateur Champion!

Great start! At his 1st appearance at a Jordanian show, our home-bred colt Talal AA (Al Baraki x JPJ Talsasha) was 1st in his class and became Gold Champion Colt. Congratulations to his proud owners, Nick and Mimi Kahook of NK Arabians - Jordan. We look forward to see Talal in many other shows in the future.

This past weekend at the first Prague European Cup (a non ECAHO show with prize-money) the Janow Podlaski Laheeb son, Poganin (Pohulanka), led his age group and became Gold Champion Stallion.
At the same venue, during the prestigious international ECAHO B-show Prague Intercup, Poganin was once again 1st of his age group and awarded with the Silver Champion stallion title. The Al Lahab (Laheeb x The Vision HG) daughter Wabia (Falborek Arabians) was named Bronze Champion Filly.

At the 34th Polish National Arabian Horse Show there was great representation of horses related to our breeding program; including the Al Maraam son Elmaran (out of Ekstera) was Named Bronze Champion Stallion. Also, some very good Laheeb's grand get were shown including the mare El Saghira (Galba x Emira by Laheeb) who was named Silver Champion Mare. The filly Perlahaba (Al Lahab x Pernacja) was named Top Five filly and the colt Emirzo (Enzo x Emira by Laheeb) was named Top Five Colt. Congratulations!

At the 2012 Kauber Platte Championship - Germany, a place that always brings wonderful memories; our Lutfina AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA by Al Maraam) became the Desert Cup (Straight Egyptian) Gold Champion Filly and Silver Champion Filly at the International B Show.
Dafina AA (Al Bilal x Dumka by Laheeb) was named Bronze Champion Mare at the International B Show.

At the National C Show "Féte du Cheval Arabe" in Caillac, Midi-Pyrénées (France), Laheeb's son, Edin (Edina) became the Senior Silver Champion Stallion. This Michalow bred stallion is owned by Mr. Joseph Geenen.
At the same show, Edin's daughter, Joseph's Noonia, became the senior Gold Champion Mare.

Last weekend, Abyad AA (Nader Al Jamal x Al Amal AA by Halim Shah I) made his debut at the Sluzewiec Racetrack in Warsaw, Poland. In his first race, he ran 1,800 meters and was in a field of 12 competitors. He did not start well (as he did not know what to do ;-)), but improved considerably later on. The finish was particularly impressive, when he moved from the last position and placed third at one point. By the end of the race he placed 4th.
The winner was a horse with typical "race pedigree", the second and third are Polish bred horses from studs specializing in Arabian racehorse breeding. Abyad lost only 2.5 lengths to the winner, and defeated horses by Nougatin (by Dormane) and Akbars (by Nougatin)!
This is a great start for this colt and we look forward to seeing him race more! We wish to thank Marek Trela and the Janow Podlaski team for the great work they do with our young stallion.

We are proud to present some new pictures, taken by our resident photographer Shlomi Nissim, of the stallion Kamal (Authentic Kharazi x Shaula by Zahi Ibn Maymoon). Kamal is on lease from Nena Bjerke of Norway.

Wonderful new pictures of Abyad AA (Nadar Al Jamal x Al Amal AA by Halim Shah I) were sent to us by Mark Trela, the director of Janow Podlaski Stud. These beautiful pictures were taken by the talented Polish photographers, Lidia & Wieslaw Pawlowski. Abyad AA is our three year old colt being leased by the well-known Janow stud of Poland. This year, Janow used Abyad to cover some beautiful mares and we look forward to seeing his foals next year!

Last weekend marked the first ever Berlin Cup Show for Straight Egyptian Arabian horses in Germany. The filly, VA Amavi Bint Valentina, out of our own homebred mare, Valentina AA (Ali Valentino x Al Baraqai AA) was named Filly Foal Champion. VA Amavi Bint Valentina is bred and owned by Kerstin and Markus Schaab who purchased her dam as a yearling from us in 2006. The two year old colt, Set SL (Nader Al Jamal x Setela Ibn Safinaz), bred and owned by the Lederman family from Israel, was first of his class and named Silver Colt Champion. Congratulations to all!

One hundred and fifty horses competed at the 14th Galilee Arab Horse Festival Show held last weekend at Shafram. The SE Al Raheb AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) daughter, Kuestora Al Fawaz (HV Ramses Mishaala) was Named Gold Champion filly. The Nader Al Jamal son, AA Asil Al Jamal (Asia) was Named Silver Champion Colt and The SE Al Hadiyah AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) son, Omer Al Hadiyah GB (Zarka) was named Bronze Champion Colt.

Andrea Dello Iacono of Arabian Heart Farm in Neaples - Italy sent us some pictures of her beautiful newborn Al Ayal AA filly. The dam of this filly is the Straight Egyptian mare Jamila (True Colours x HMT Farima). Congratulations, Andrea !

The Pyramid Society's 32nd Annual Egyptian Event, "Born of the Desert Wind," took place last week at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
The Laheeb daughter BJ Miranda was named the Four & Five Year Old World Class Mares Champion. This beautiful mare is owned by Manny & Diana Vierra of Valley Oak Arabians.
Egyptian Event Native Costume Champion was Jadoube Ibn Lahab DMF, a straight Egyptian stallion sired by our Home-bred World Champion Al Lahab (Laheeb x The Vision HG). This young stallion was bred and owned by Debra & David Geiser of Dara Meadows Farm.
Our home-bred Al Hadiyah AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) won the World Class Championship for 6 & 7 Year Old Stallions, with a great score and exhibited one of the strongest entrances into the ring. Later on in the Championship, Al Hadiyah AA, who was clearly the crowd favorite, was eventually chosen as the Bronze Champion of this great show. Al Hadiyah AA was shown by Frank Sponle. Congratulations to Al Hadiyah's owner, Luciana Fasano of Fazenda Floresta from Brazil.

At the 2012 International B-show at Vilhelmsborg - Denmark, the Laheeb daughter Emira (Embra) was named Gold Champion Mare.
Emira is bred and owned by Michalow Stud - Poland, and on lease to Ajman Stud - UAE. Emira was shown to her win by Frank Sponle. Congratulations!

It is always nice to see horses that were born here and to know they are doing well for their new owners. Here is a picture of the beautiful blue-black mare Valentina AA (Ali Valentino x Al Baraqai AA by Baahir) that was sold as a yearling to Kerstin and Markus Schaab of Germany. They feel in love with Valentina and even named their farm after her - Valentina Arabians. Some weeks ago Valentina foaled a beautiful black filly for her proud owners by the black stallion TB Yasir (Salaa El Dine x Sulifah).

The essence of beauty! The magical scenery of Tuscany is a great place to take pictures. Here are some new pictures of Donya Jamal (Nader Al Jamal x Aroussa by Al Maraam) that was taken at Giacomo Capacci Arabians in Cortona, Italy by Gigi Grasso. Donya was only four weeks away from giving birth when these pictures were taken. Last week this multi Champion mare foaled a beautiful grey filly by Laheeb. Congratulations to her proud owner.

Congratulations to the Lederman Family for the success of their colt in the Int' B show in Pietrasanta, Italy. Set SL (Nader Al Jamal X Setala by Ibn Safinaz)was Bronze Champion Colt at this show, the very first Italian show in which he competed! A great success for this beautiful young horse. We are happy to welcome home our young mare Nashwah AA (Al Ayad x Insh Sha Latifa by Ansata Selman). Over the past two years, Nashwah was on lease to Ajman Stud and handled by Frank Sponle. During this time Nashwah was named Gold Champion Filly at the Egyptian Europe Cup, Gold Champion Filly at the National C Show in Ströhen and Gold Champion Filly at the European Egyptian Event. We wish to thank Ajman Stud, Frank Sponle and his team for taking such great care of this mare.

Last weekend, at the International Tulip Cup Show in Deurne - Holland, the Laheeb daughter Emira (Embra) was Gold Champion Mare, Most Classic Head and Best in Show. Emira is owned by Michalow Stud and on lease to Ajman Stud. The Al Maraam granddaughter LB Gucci (Ajman Moniscione x Bess-Ginger by Al Maraam) was First in her class and Silver Champion Filly. This filly is bred and owned by Line Therese Urke. Congratulations!
 

We would like to inform the public that all 2012 breedings from Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG) are already sold out in Israel. From now on we will be taking requests for next year's bookings. Breeding overseas is still available by frozen semen.

The 7th Palestinian International Championship was held in Jericho last weekend. During the last few years this show has established itself as a great opportunity for continued cooperation between Israeli and Palestinian horse lovers.
The Laheeb filly Jaida'a (Sahara PG) was named Filly Foal Champion. Fikrah (Nader Al Jamal x W. Sharvit) was Named Silver Champion Filly and our young filly, Durar AA (Gazal Al Shaqab x Dafina AA) was 1st in her class with the 2nd highest score of all fillies and was named the Bronze Champion Filly.
The Nader Al Jamal son OEJ Zan Nader (RZA Alidessa) was named Silver Champion Colt and AA Asil Al Jamal (Nader Al Jamal x Asia) was named Bronze champion Colt. One other Nader son, Kareem Al Jamal (ZK Zamzam Sultana) was 1st in the yearling colts class. Our mare Latifah AA was named the Silver Champion of the show and the Laheeb daughter, Bat Shabbat (Czeresnia) was the Bronze Champion.

The young German photographer, Susanne Ernst, has sent us this lovely informal portrait of Al Maraam (Imperial Imdal x The Vision HG) in Egypt that we are happy to share. Susanne was fascinated by the Arabian horse from a very young age after buying her first edition of "The Araber Journal". Using her father's camera, she started taking pictures at her neighbour's paddocks. Last November she had the chance to visit Egypt with well-known photographer Gabriele Boiselle and used her camera to good advantage at Al Badeia Stud. Thank you Susanne for sending us this beautiful picture, we look forward to see more of your work in the future.

Congratulations to Luciana Fasano of Fazenda Floresta from Brazil for her success with our home-bred Al Hadiyah AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) at the Arabian Breeders World Cup in Las Vegas. This event has become one of the premier purebred Arabian horse shows in the world, uniting breeders worldwide. At this, his first show in the US, Al Hadiyah was 2nd place behind the well-known stallion Eden C, who was later named the Gold champion stallion of this important show.
We wish Luciana Fasano all the best with Al Hadiyah (The gift - in Arabic) and we look forward to see him shown again.

We wish to congratulate the Farajian family: Barouch, Dani & Nisan, for purchasing one of our most promising home-bred 2012 foals, Sufyan AA, a son of our leading stallion Laheeb out of the 2011 Israeli Reserve Champion Mare Saniyyah RCA (Mishaal HP x My Shooting Star). Marek Trela, director of the world famous Janow Podlaski Stud in Poland, sent us some cool pictures of Abyad AA (Nader al Jamal x Al Amal AA by Halim Shah I). These pictures was taken by Abyad's trainer on a misty cold Polish morning, during Abyad's racing training at Janow. Mr. Trela said that Abyad shows very good action and a very elastic canter. It seems like the jockeys like him a lot. Abyad is registered for races this year and we are looking forward to his first heat. Abyad is currently on lease to Janow and will be bred to a select group of their mares this year.
 

At the 18th Israeli Spring show held in Bat-Yam, our home-bred filly Lujyan AA (Nader Al Jamal x Lamis AA) was named Gold Champion Filly. The Al Raheb AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) son, Al Manal (Omniet Al Ayun by Laheeb), was named Gold Champion Colt. The Nader Al Jamal son OEJ Zan Nadir (out of RZA Alidessa) was the Silver Champion Colt and AA Asil Al Jamal (Nader Al Jamal x Asia) was named the Bronze Champion Colt.

Congratulations to the Miro Family for acquiring part interest in the very promising young colt, Nader AlRoeya AA. This colt is the youngest son of the legendary mare The Vision HG, dam of the internationally acclaimed stallions Al Maraam, Al Lahab, Al Hadiyah AA, Al Raheeb AA and Al Ayal AA. The sire of this extreme type colt is the multi-champion stallion Nader Al Jamal (Ansata Sinan x Savannah CC).
The Miro Family have had a very successful breeding program over the past decade and their horses are known for the great quality and beauty. Nader AlRoeya will be great addition to this breeding excellent program.

Al Maraam is one of a very few sons left from the legendary Imperial Imdal (Ansata Imperial x Dalia by Morafic). Al Maraam dam is one of the world's most influencer mares; the black The Vision HG (Thee Desperado x Belle Staar by The Minstril). The Vision is also the dam of successful stallions like Al Lahab, Al Ayal AA, Al Raheb AA, Al Hakim and Al Hadiyah AA.

The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, held under the patronage of HH Sh. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, start yesterday morning. This show is one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind in the world and horses from all over the globe come to take part in this exciting event.
Our home-bred Lutfina AA competed at this show for the first time and was 2nd place in her class, just a hair's breath behind the 1st place winner in points.

Last weekend at the 13th Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheik Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, our Straight Egyptian filly, Lutfina AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA by Al Maraam) was shown by Frank Sponle and won her class with a great score.

Its time to say goodbye again; after two unforgettable years, the lease has come to its end and Nader Al Jamal has left us and gone on to Europe where he will stand at the stud of Giacomo Capacci in Italy. Nader was in Israel during the years 2007 and 2008 and again from 2010 to 2011. He sired wonderful progeny for us and we are certain that his contribution to Straight Egyptian breeding in our country is so valuable as to be almost beyond measure. Nader sired foals with his own special look, consistently stamping them with his own extreme type and phenomenal balance.
We wish to thank the Nader Al Jamal's owners for sharing this incrediblly beautiful stallion with us and to Joe Polo who helped to make our dream come true. We will miss you, Nader...

He's back! After being away for almost three years, our multi-champion homebred Junior stallion, Al Ayal AA (Al Ayad x The Vision HG) is finally back home. It is so wonderful to see him back to his old box.
During his stay in Europe and the Middle East Al Ayal was named the 2011 Gold Champion Colt at the Sharjah International Show, Gold Champion at the Egyptian Event Europe and Gold Champion at the Dubai International Championships, and today Al Ayal is one of the world's most talked about young stallion.
We wish to thank Ajman Stud, Frank Sponle, Elisa Grassi and the teams of both farms for taking such great care of our stallion and bringing him to these high achievements. We also wish to thank all the breeders who covered their mares with Al Ayal and look forward to a great foal crop.

At the 2012 Abu Dhabi International Show (non-ECAHO) held in the United Arab Emirates, our home-bred Straight Egyptian filly, Lutfina AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA by Al Maraam) won her class with the extremely high score of 92.75. Over 400 horses competed, making it one of the most important shows in the Gulf region. Congratulations to Ajman Stud for Lutfina's success.

The 2011 Supreme Champion of the Egyptian Event in Lexington, Kentucky, Al Raheb AA (Laheeb x The Vision HG) will be presented to the public at the Scottsdale showgrounds and can be seen at Pommeroy Arabians. Al Raheb AA is on lease to Raymond Mazzei of Furioso Farms, which has a booth in the main Exhibit Hall.
This multi champion stallion was bred at our farm and is proudly owned by Al Fawaz Stud of Nazareth - Israel.

A few days ago, the Al Khalediah Arabian Horse Festival was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This wonderful Festival is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, owner of the famous Al Khalediah Stables.
At this international show, our Straight Egyptian home-bred filly Lutfina AA (Nader Al Jamal x Latifah AA by Al Maraam), was the winner of the three years old class filly class. Congratulations to Ajman stud and thank you to Frank Sponle who showed Lutfina so beautifully.

The first foal of 2012 has arrived. He is great start; an extremely exotic grey colt out of Simeon Sharav (x Asfour) and Saniyyah RCA (x Mishaal HP). Seem like this little guy got the best features of his sire and his dam. We have named him Shams Sharav AA, in honour of his beautiful sire. Pictures will come soon.
This year we are expecting foals by Laheeb, Nader Al Jamal and Simeon Sharav. We have a lot to look forward to ...
